THE youngest player to start in the Manchester City first team will field questions at The George and Dragon in Winsford on Wednesday, April 26.
Ex-Manchester City Glyn Pardoe is the guest at a meeting of the Mid Cheshire Manchester City Supporters Club, which starts at 8pm.
“We are excited to announce that Glyn will be attending the meeting, which starts at 8pm,” said branch secretary Alan Oakes.
“Glyn was the youngest player to start in the Manchester City first team at 15 years and 314 days old, for which he still holds the record.
“He is from Winsford and played multiple positions for City before settling in defence as a left back. He helped the team win the First Division 67/68, the FA Cup 68/69, the Cup Winner’s Cup 69/70, and the League Cup 69/70.
“The year we got the double Glyn scored the winning goal in the League Cup where City came from behind to beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1.”
