Investigation launched after large Winsford house fire
ARSONISTS set fire to a house being built on the Woodford Lane West housing development.
An investigation was launched following the large house fire on Sunday night, and Cheshire Fire Service has now confirmed that the fire was started deliberately.
Firefighters from Winsford, Middlewich and an aerial appliance from Chester, were sent to the scene in Woodford Lane West at 10.13pm.
Police also attended and cordoned off the area.
The fire involved a large two-storey detached house which was under construction, and firefighters used two main water jets and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
A hydraulic platform was used to get water to the building.
