CRIME in Winsford is on the decline, according to a message to the public from PCSO Karen Nixon.

In an update to the community, the PCSO described the anti-social behaviour that police are prioritising in Winsford, and said that incidents are reducing.

PCSO Nixon said: “The majority of kids are well behaved and are supported by all partner agencies including the local junior schools and the Academy.

“The schools work closely with the police to prevent and deter and incidents and support children in positive pathways. The local Winsford Academy do a fantastic job educating and supporting the local community and support the Police to engage with the local youth of the town.

“Crime in Winsford has continued to reduce as a whole and we continue to work with business and retail to prevent and deter crime.

“The town centre security manager does a great job in reducing incidents and supporting the Police. The Winsford Industrial Estates Manager along with all the business community which collectively employ more than 3,000 employees work together to make the area a safe and productive place to work.

“We continue to identify local crime and ASB issues and work with all agencies to reduce these incident when they arise and put appropriate resources in when required to prevent and detect crime.”
