A TEENAGER from Winsford appeared in Youth Court this week after being found twice in Middlewich town centre with an arsenal of knives and offensive weapons.
The court in Crewe heard that the 15-year-old was found by police with a group of other youths at Fountain Fields Park on February 4, after they responded to several reports of anti-social behaviour.
Police stopped him and found that he was carrying a bag containing a claw hammer and two kitchen knives.
He resisted arrest and needed to be restrained in handcuffs while he screamed obscenities at police officers.
He was then found again on Tesco car park in Middlewich on February 21, while on bail for the first offence.
This time he was found to be carrying a bag containing a kitchen knife, a Stanley knife, and a crowbar.
He pleaded guilty to each charge and will be sentenced next month.
Judge Ann Clader said: “These are very serious matters and therefore we feel we need a report to be made to find out more. We’re very concerned about where these knives are coming from and why you’re carrying them.”
