CHESHIRE Police will be hosting a seminar in Winsford on Saturday for people who are interested in becoming a Special Constable.

The constabulary has launched a specials recruitment campaign, running until March 5, and is holding the seminar to give information about the role and how to apply.

The event will be held at Cheshire Police HQ in Oakmere Road from noon.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Becoming a Special Constable opens up a world of opportunities, and you will be faced with endless challenges; no two days will ever be the same. This exciting and enjoyable role gives you invaluable experiences and training that you can use throughout your life to achieve your personal or professional goals.

“If you are not able to attend a seminar this will not prevent you from applying but it is strongly recommended that you make every effort to attend as you will obtain valuable information to assist you with completing the application form and understanding the role more.”
