A WINSFORD teenager accused of a series of offences including attempted armed robbery appeared in court last week.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named due to his age, appeared at Crewe Youth Court on Wednesday, January 11.
The two most serious offences he has been charged with are attempted armed robbery at K L Newsagents in Station Road, and blackmail.
He denies both of these charges.
He also pleaded not guilty to a burglary at the Age UK shop in Winsford Cross Shopping Centre, theft of sweets from Co-op and criminal damage.
He pleaded guilty to the use of threatening words and an assault against a member of staff at McDonald's in Nat Lane, and failure to surrender to bail.
The defendent, who had been remanded in custody since his arrest on January 3, was refused bail.
He will appear in youth court for two separate trials in February.
