A FIRE broke out at Mid Cheshire College in Winsford last night.
Fire fighters from Winsford and Northwich were called to the college in High Street at 7.59pm.
Two industrial bins were on fire and the fire spread to a building at the campus.
Fire crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
A large fan was used to clear the smoke from the building.
Kyle Welsby, who witnessed the incident unfold, said: "Shortly before 8pm a plume of thick black smoke could be seen emitting from the center of Winsford. A fire broke out at Mid-Cheshire College Winsford Campus in the refuse store.
"The fire response team where on site at 8.10pm and swiftly tackled the blaze by breaking though the locked refuse store pen."
