ST MARY’S Church in Whitegate is a new addition to this year’s annual Heritage Open Days celebration.
The annual celebration of heritage buildings is now in its 22nd year and St Mary’s Church in Church Street will be joinging the long list of heritage buildings opening its doors this year.
The Heritage Open Days event takes place from Thursday, September 8 to Sunday, September 11.
Doreen King, the local co-ordinator of Heritage Open Days, said: “This is the 22nd year for Heritage Open Days across the whole country and, thanks to the generosity of building owners and managers; our programme in west Cheshire just keeps on growing. We have 55 buildings open this year, seven of which are opening their doors for the first time.”
The Heritage Open Days brochure is available from libraries and can also be downloaded from heritageopendayschester.co.uk.
