WINSFORD’S popular wrestling production will be raising awareness of breast cancer in men at its show next month.
RWA Wrestling will be putting on its next show in Winsford at the New Images Youth Centre on Saturday, July 9.
The special theme of the show will be breast cancer in men and will feature a tag team tournament with teams competing for the Jon Baker Memorial Tag Team Trophy.
Andy Baker, from RWA Wrestling, said: “Our aim is to make people aware that it's not just a girl thing and men get it too.”
The winners of the semi-finals will progress to the finals to be held at the one-year anniversary show at New Images on Saturday, August 20.
The winners will also be given trophies by special guest of honour, Mayor of Winsford, Cllr Steve Smith.
Advanced tickets are available now at the youth centre. Doors open at 6.30pm with the bell time 7pm. Tickets cost £6 for adults, £4 for children and OAPs, and £15 for a family ticket for two adults and two children. Those booking in advance get £1 off.
