JOHN Godber’s production of Bouncers that made its debut in Spring 2014 is returning for a performance in Winsford this weekend.
Godber’s production is currently touring the UK two years after its popular debut and will come to Winsford Academy Theatre on Saturday, May 28.
Produced by The John Godber Company and Theatre Royal Wakefield, Bouncers features a cast of actors from the north of England. Adrian Hood from Brassed Off and The Syndicate, and Robert Hudson from Red Riding and The Bill have starring roles.
The play has been performed all over the world in many different languages.
In 2012 it was included in a new app produced by the V&A museum entitled Played in Britain: Modern Theatre in 100 plays 1945 to 2010.
John Godber is a BAFTA award winning playwright from Upton, West Yorkshire.
Bouncers was first performed in 1977 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
