A WINSFORD charity is urging businesses to help those in need in the community.

St Luke’s Hospice has launched ‘Business Buddies’, which encourages local companies to support the hospice to provide care in the communities where their staff and families live and work.

Businesses and their staff are able to support St Luke’s in a variety of ways, including contributing via a regular monthly donation, participating in events and community programs.

Claire Langston, director of income at St Luke’s Hospice, said: “Becoming a business buddy is a really great way to give back to local people.

“Support from local businesses is so valuable to our hospice.

“It helps us to serve our community by providing so many important services that improve the quality of life for those with life threatening illnesses, as well as their families.”

Those who partner with St Luke’s will receive a variety of benefits in addition to the great feeling that comes with helping the local community.

Business Buddies will receive invites to networking events, recognition on the St Luke’s website and social media together with a certificate of membership.

A launch networking event of Business Buddies will be held at Lion Salt Works, Northwich in the spring. A date will be confirmed later in the year.
