WALKING football sessions will now be held in Winsford.
The growth of Walking Football continues across Cheshire, with around 300 people playing regularly ever week.
Cheshire FA are now bringing the adapted version of the beautiful game to Winsford, with sessions being help every Wednesday at the Winsford Lifestyle Centre.
Tony Heslop, Cheshire FA Champion, said: “Walking football is an ideal way for people of all ages to get back into playing football.
“While initially aimed at the over 50s, anyone can take part and benefit from being active and meeting new people in a friendly environment.”
Walking football rules are adapted so there is no running, very little contact but still plenty of goals.
With less stress on the body and no real sudden change of direction or cutting movements the game allows participants to play without apprehension and at their own pace.
