A WINSFORD charity received a welcome cash boost from a Cheshire IT firm.
The NeuroMuscular Centre (NMC) received a donation of £1,807 from Macclesfield-based cloud computing firm Axon after they nominated the organisation as its charity of the year for 2015.
Staff from Axon took part in a range of events throughout the year, including a 5k colour run, the Born Survivor 10km military assault course, cake sales and charity raffles.
The firm also sponsored the NMC’s Live in the Park fundraising event at Arley Hall.
Amy Swatkins, community development fundraiser for The NeuroMuscular Centre, said: "This really is an incredible amount and will make such a difference – helping us continue supporting the needs of people affected by Muscular Dystrophy from across the Cheshire region – not to mention the many volunteer hours given to support us with our events, the likes of which could not happen without the support of our dedicated volunteers.”
As well as the numerous fundraising events, Axon employees also dedicated a number of hours volunteering.
Anna Nicholls, Marketing Manager for Axon, added: “We’re proud to have been able to support the centre and the amazing work that they do and have thoroughly enjoyed working with the team.”
