KIND-hearted students helped transform St Luke’s Hospice’s Red Routemaster bus into Santa’s magical Grotto.

Students from Petty Pool College in Northwich spent last week decking out St Luke’s bus with tinsel, fairy lights, Christmas trees and cuddly reindeers.

The Leavers group used their team working skills to make this the hospice's best grotto yet.

Hazel Hansip, Petty Pool College curriculum director, said: “Our students really enjoy expressing their creativity when decorating St Luke’s bus and helping to wrap presents, the students loved being Santa’s little helpers.

“It was a great opportunity to develop valuable team working skills as well as helping our local community.”

Santa on Tour will visit a number of locations around Cheshire, giving children the opportunity to meet Santa and receive a wrapped present.

There is no entrance fee though donations are welcome.

Angela Slack, St Luke’s Hospice’s Corporate and Community Fundraiser, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at Petty Pool for transforming St Luke’s bus into a magical and festival treat ready for Santa on Tour.

“It’s a wonderful experience for all involved and we really appreciate the time spent transforming the bus into Santa’s Grotto.”
