A 65-YEAR-OLD woman was taken to hospital by air ambulance today after falling into a cellar.
Four fire engines were called to commercial premises in Winsford at about 1pm to reports of a woman having fallen into a cellar.
The premises are in Delamere Street, and the woman was taken by air ambulance to Wythenshawe Hospital at Manchester.
Fire engines attended the scene from Winsford, Northwich, Tarporley and Middlewich.
Air and land ambulances and police also attended, and paramedics stabilised the woman. Firefighters helped to get the woman out of the cellar and into the care of the medical staff.
