ST Luke’s Hospice has launched an appeal for the return of essential fundraising equipment.

With the Hospice’s army of supporters planning more and more fundraising events than ever before, its supplies of buckets to collect donations and outdoor signs fundraisers use to promote their events and challenges are running low.

Mark Porter, corporate and community fundraiser at St Luke’s Hospice, has teamed up with the hospice’s cuddly mascot, Luke the Bear to launch a hunt for the missing buckets and banners.

He is urging supporters to double-check their garages and storerooms in case they have any of the items which are not currently in use.

Mark said: “If anyone has one of our buckets or banners that they aren’t using at the moment, please do let us know so we can arrange to come and collect them.

“We’ve got so many amazing fundraisers planning some fantastic events and challenges at the moment, our cupboards are getting a little ‘bear’ at the moment, which is why Luke and I have been hunting high and low throughout the Hospice for any spares we can find.

“And if there’s anyone planning an upcoming fundraising event for the Hospice who would like to use the buckets, banners, and moneyboxes we have remaining, please do get in touch with me on 01606 555697 to find out more.”
