A WINSFORD charity will host a Ladies Lunch in Chester next month.
The NeuroMuscular Centre, based in Winsford, is hosting a Ladies Lunch at the Doubletree by Hilton, Chester, on Wednesday, September 30.
The charity provides a range of services for young people and adults with muscular dystrophy, a severe and debilitating muscle wasting condition.
Ladies who attend their latest fundraiser will enjoy a delicious two course lunch at 1pm followed by a talk from the BBC Radio Merseyside presenter, Linda McDermott.
A spokesman for the NMC said: “Liverpool born and bred Linda has enjoyed a wide ranging career as a journalist.
“From a family of ardent football fans, Linda became one of the first female football reporters in the country.
“With nine press awards to her name, Linda was working for the Liverpool Echo when BBC Radio Merseyside approached her to do the lunchtime phone in show.
“After two years, Linda then took on Morning Merseyside which she presented for seven years. Linda now has a well-deserved lie in and presents the late show from 10pm-1am every night.”
Guests may arrive at 12pm to browse a selection of luxury stalls. The day should conclude around 3.30pm.
Tickets are £25, which includes a two course lunch with tea or coffee to follow.
