A FORMER Newcastle United striker is set to make a guest appearance during a fundraising dinner in Winsford.
The sportsman’s dinner is due to be held at Pockets Snooker Club in Winsford on August 22.
Mickey Quinn, who scored four goals on his debut for the Magpies in a 5-2 home win over Leeds United, will be looking to score funds for Pockets F. C.
The evening will kick off from 7.30pm and a ‘top class’ buffet will be provided.
A spokesman for Pockets Snooker Club said: “Now a racehorse trainer, Mickey operates from Newmarket and included in his busy lifestyle are his commentaries for Talksport Radio and his engagements as an after-dinner speaker.
“He has a wealth of stories and is regarded as one of the best entertainers on the circuit.
“Mickey will be backed up on the night by comedian Gary Marshall, who has been making people laugh for more than 20 years.
