A LONG-STANDING Winsford family business has been honoured with a customer service award at the town mayor’s Oscars.
Ford dealer Cliff Dickenson & Son beat off a number of local businesses to pick up the Muir Group Housing Association Customer Service Award.
Susan Winsward, granddaughter of founder Cliff Dickenson, and husband Chris Winsward, who has been a partner in the business since 1988, picked up the award earlier this month.
“I went into partnership with my father-in-law,” Chris said. “We have grown the business quite considerably since then. The volumes have grown dramatically.
“I think now we’re one of the oldest businesses around.
“There isn’t that many of us left now. In my working life I’ve seen a lot of them disappear, that’s how it tends to be, but we’re still here, and we’ll keep on going.”
It’s not the first time Cliff Dickenson & Son has been honoured for their exemplary customer service.
The business has been honoured by the Ford Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Customer Satisfaction for on 14 occasions.
Chris added: “It was a great to win the Oscar. We have won customer service awards continually for the last 14 consecutive years nationally, so to get a local award was the icing on the cake.”
