THE iconic Ghostbusters car was on display in Winsford along with a number of motors seen on the big screen over the years.

The Ghostbusters motor, the Ecto-1, was the highlight of a number of special vehicles on display at Fords of Winsford, the largest used car supermarket in the north west.

Families from around the region descended on the popular car supermarket, which holds up to 1500 cars at any one time, for a close up look at some iconic motors from the big screen.

A spokesman for Fords of Winsford said: “A Nostalgic look back at cars from the big screen and classic cars from yester-year ensured a great fun Easter weekend at Fords of Winsford, for staff and parents alike.

“All the kids had a great time too, enjoying face painting and Easter eggs. It was a great weekend for all.”

There were a number of classic motors on display including the much-loved Ford Capri, Escort, Cortina, a Formula 1 Ferrari and the iconic Ecto-1.

The Ecto-1 was the vehicle the Ghostbusters used to travel throughout New York City busting ghosts in the famous 80s franchise, which is set to be revived in 2016.
