A WINSFORD business is looking for recruits to join its apprenticeship scheme for September.

Tiger Trailers, a commercial vehicle and body and trailer manufacturer, launched its apprentice scheme last October 2014, and is now looking to recruit for September.

The Winsford-based firm has worked closely with Mid Cheshire College to develop a three-and-a-half year programme leading to a Level 3 Advanced apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacturing.

The announcement came as Tiger Trailers presented three apprentices with achievement awards to recognise their commitment and achievements on the scheme.

Jordan Brookes, Jacob Evans and Joe Willat were presented with the awards from Mid Cheshire College principal, Richard Hollywood, Carole Timperley, director of business development and partnerships, and John Cartwright, Tiger's joint managing director.

Mr Cartwright said: "I am very proud of the whole Tiger team and in particular the apprentices who have contributed well and have become an important part of our success.

“They have quickly learnt many of the skills required and worked well with their mentors, who we also must thank for their tremendous efforts helping create skilled future employees.”

During the course of their apprenticeship they will rotate through each of the major manufacturing areas before specialising in a particular area that matches their skills and interests.
