The Cheshire West and Chester Council candidates for the Winsford wards for the upcoming General Election have been announced.

The nominations span across the borough’s three unitary wards and feature individuals representing Labour, the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats, UKIP and the Green party.

Representatives of Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats feature prominently in all three unitary wards.

The Green Party feature a single candidate for Swanlow and Dene unitary ward, and will have two representatives for the Over and Verdin unitary ward and Wharton ward.

UKIP have one candidate for Swanlow and Dene unitary ward and Over and Verdin unitary ward.

Voting for the Cheshire West and Chester Council elections will take place on the same day as the General Election, which is on Thursday, May 7.
