WHITEGATE traditional village Mayfair will return for the 61st consecutive year.
The annual event will be held as usual on the village green on May 16, from 12.30pm.
There will be stalls packed full of toys, games, plants, bric-a-brac and books, as well as homemade cakes, scones, biscuits, sandwiches and refreshments.
A spokesperson for the event said: “There will be maypole dancing on the green where the ribbons will be woven into an intricate pattern around the decorated pole.
“The King and Queen’s parade is always a colourful spectacle with many of the children from the school taking an active part in these traditional ceremonies.
“St. Mary’s Church will be open and there will be an organ recital for you to enjoy during the afternoon.
“It will be a most enjoyable and colourful event so come along and join us for the afternoon.”
There will be games for the children as well as a raffle. Raffle tickets will be available on the day or in advance from a committee member.
All proceeds contribute to the upkeep of St Mary’s Church, Whitegate.
