TICKETS are now available for the 15th and final annual fundraiser in memory of a Winsford schoolboy who died from leukaemia.

The charity gala will commemorate the life of the former Verdin High School pupil, Andrew Taylor, who lost his battle with leukaemia aged just 12 years old.

Winsford Constitutional and Conservative Club will hold the event on Friday, March 6.

Wendy Cain, who has organised the fundraising activities for 15 years, said: “As this is the last one we’re really hoping for a great turnout.

“We’ve raised around £50,000 over the years and I just want to thank everybody who has contributed to this great cause.

“The Full Monty will return for the ladies and we’ll also have a charity auction, disco and a raffle.

“Let’s make it a night to remember.”

Tickets for the charity gala cost £5 and all of the proceeds will go towards the Anthony Nolan Trust.

A 12-mile charity walk is also set to take place on Sunday, February 22, from 10am. Walkers will set off from Knights Grange, Winsford.

The trust are also looking for volunteers for a charity bag pack at Asda on Saturday, February 28.
