ALE and cider lovers are in for a treat when the Winsford Beer Festival comes to town this weekend.

Now in its third year, the festival will offer a selection of beers, ciders, wines and soft drinks for the kids – and designated drivers.

A number of local acts will also perform, including an Elvis Presley tribute act.

Clr Brian Clarke, from Winsford Town Council, said: “We’ve got 14 beers, all local. It’s easy to go and get some beer from 100 miles away, but we wanted to stay local. It’s all about promoting localism.

“The first year we had around 250 people come to the festival and last year we had about 350. So we have a feeling this year’s is going to be the biggest yet.

“There’s going to be several artists performing too, including an Elvis Presley act, which I’m particularly looking forward to because I’m a massive Elvis fan."

Doors open at Winsford Lifestyle Centre at 3pm on Saturday, November 15. Tickets are £6.
