A LEADING trailer manufacturer is looking to double its workforce after opening its factory in Winsford’s Road One flagship industrial estate.
The company, which has a healthy order book and is going from strength to strength, has created a 105,000sq ft manufacturing base on Road One – and is bringing a welcome jobs boost to the area.
Helen Jennings, recruitment and HR manager for Tiger Trailers, said: “This is an exciting time for our business and we are looking forward to meeting local people who can join us and help support our company’s growth strategy.”
Cheshire West and Chester Council leader Mike Jones added: “The council has worked closely with Tiger Trailers to secure this major investment in Winsford and we will continue to support the company in attracting a range of manufacturing jobs into the town.”
To mark its arrival on Road One, Tiger Trailers held an open morning on Saturday, October 11.
Tiger Trailers currently has a 50-strong workforce – but has plans to double this within the next year.
The company designs and manufactures a range of HGV trailers and rigid bodies, supplying major fleet operators.
As well as running an apprenticeship scheme, they are currently looking to recruit into a variety of roles including: welders, paint sprayers, design engineers, auto electricians and coach builders.
