POLICE in Winsford have reported an increase in anti-social behaviour on the Wharton Estate.
Officers have launched a new operation to combat the issue and are appealing for residents help in tracing offenders.
A spokesman for Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Mindless damage has been caused to vehicles and property.
“Officers arrested two young males aged 15 and 14 on the evening of Thursday, October 2 on suspicion of causing damage to a house on the estate.
“Both are currently on police bail while further enquiries are conducted.
“Calls continue to be received and Operation Harbin has been put in place to tackle the issue. We will be looking to identify those responsible working in partnership with Weaver Vale Housing Association.
“If any resident has information that will assist us I would ask them to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or they can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
