AN eyewitness has described the shocking moment when a car carrying three people flipped onto its roof and ploughed through a garden wall in Winsford.

The dark turquoise Peugeot 306 careened off the road in Ways Green at around 5.55am on Saturday, August 23.

Resident, Steve Johnson, 41, said: “They have lost control outside my house. The car flipped onto its roof, scraped along the road and smashed into the wall outside Brook Cottage.

“There were three people in the car: One girl and two lads. There was screaming. Doors were banging.

“I heard the girl screaming and shouting: ‘get out’.

“Somehow, they all got out alive. They were lucky.”

Mr Johnson described seeing the occupants get out and into another car which sped to the scene, before driving off at high speed, back up Ways Green towards Winsford.

Police arrived in a van and squad car.

A spokesman said enquiries into the incident were ongoing.

Anyone with information on the crash should call Cheshire Police on the non emergency number, 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
