WINSFORD fundraisers will use pedal power to complete a gruelling cycle and hiking challenge next month.

Daniel Knight and Martin Jones will be in the saddle for 200 miles as they cycle to Snowdon and back, in-between scaling Wales’ highest mountain.

The duo will set off on September 1 in aid of the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.

They’ll cycle through Chester and across north Wales, climb Snowdon’s 3,500ft and then do the journey in reverse.

“Although this will be very physically demanding for us both, We do want to push ourselves for these great causes and raise as much money as possible so that they can continue with their life saving work,” said Daniel.

“All of the money that people donate will go to the charity, as we are paying for our accommodation and food during the few days we’re on the road.”

The pair are also welcoming other riders who want to complete the challenge alongside them.

“The more people the better!” said Daniel, whose Just Giving page has more details.
