TV weather presenter, Clare Nasir, has been booked as the guest speaker for Winsford Neuromuscular Centre’s forthcoming festive lunch.

Clare has hosted several TV series, including the travel show ‘Great Escapes’, ‘Extreme Weather’ and ‘Fierce Earth’ for CBBC.

In 2010, Clare left GMTV to launch a fitness DVD called ‘Clare Nasir’s Boot Camp’.

Since the end of 2013, she has presented the weather for BBC North West Tonight.

“We’re thrilled that Clare is taking time out of her busy schedule to speak at our final ladies event of 2014,” said an NMC spokesman.

"The superb Alderley Edge Hotel overlooks one of Cheshire’s most desirable villages, and a delicious two course lunch will be served at 1pm in the stunning Laurent-Perrier Suite.

"Ladies may arrive at 12pm to browse a selection of luxury stalls by local boutiques; a perfect opportunity to do some Christmas shopping.

"Clare will provide a fascinating insight to her life as a leading TV presenter from 2pm, and we anticipate the afternoon will finish at 3pm."

Tickets, costing £25, are available now for the festive ladies lunch, which will be held at the Alderley Edge Hotel in November.

The Neuromuscular Centre is a small charity in Cheshire that provides a range of services for adults and young people with muscular dystrophy.
