THE Winsford 1-5 Group organised a walk and cycle to work day for all the 4,000 estate workers on Winsford Industrial Estate.
A murky morning didn’t stop more than 270 locals donning their lycra and walking shoes and setting off for the office.
Participants were rewarded with a tasty breakfast sandwich and a drink provided by the Winsford Business Improvement District.
In addition, a free prize draw was made and the lucky winner of a £500 bike was Wayne White of Iveco.
Peter Price, chairman of the 1-5 Group and organiser of the event praised the ‘fantastic turnout’ from workers and said there would be another walk to work next year.
