POLICE uncovered what they described as a ‘substantial’ amount of cannabis plants being grown at a Winsford address.
Officers from Winsford Neighbouring Policing Team served a drugs search warrant at an address in Bedford Rise during the early evening on Thursday, July 10.
Officers discovered two plants being cultivated in the garden, and another fifteen were found growing inside the premises in a first floor bedroom, along with full hydroponics equipment and ventilation system.
All of the plants and growing equipment were seized.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene, and later interviewed.
He was granted police bail until August 5 to allow time for further enquires to be conducted.
