WINSFORD mental health charity Mid-Cheshire Mind got a £2,500 funding boost thanks to a charity ball this month.
Local woman Rachel Anchors organised the event at Alsager Golf Club in memory of her mother, who died following a long battle with mental illness.
The 42-year-old is also planning a Coast to Coast walk along Hadrian’s Wall to raise more money for the Dene Drive organisation, which provides an informal drop in centre for people who have had or are currently suffering from mental health problems.
“If I just manage to save on person’s life I will be happy to know my mum did not die in vain,” said Rachel.
