PUPILS from Grange Community Primary School met Winsford town mayor, Clr Mike Kennedy, at the library as part of World Book Day.
Grange students joined St Josephs Catholic Primary and Winsford Academy students in entering Asda’s short story competition.
The supermarket had story’s displayed in store for the week leading up to World Book Day, with customers asked to vote for their favourite tales.
Winning storywriters were presented with £10 gift vouchers.
Meanwhile, the mayor announced the town council would be presenting each school in Winsford a copy of a new book about the First World War by local author, John Malam.
