WINSFORD Library will have an animal handling event between 10.30-11.30am on Friday, February 9.
As part of National Libraries Day, the library will also be offering five free book reservations on the day, which would normally cost £1 each, as well as ‘happy hour’ special offers on the loan of DVDs.
Winsford librarian Ian Anstice said: “Libraries are a really important part of many people’s lives, and so it’s great that we have a national day to celebrate them.
“There are so many different reasons to use a library. People obviously use us for our wide and impressive collection of books, but also for the free internet access, printing facilities, meeting rooms, newspapers and, increasingly, as chance to sit down with a coffee and relax.”
Booking is essential for the animal handling event.
