Former Mayor of Winsford dies

Clr John White, former Mayor of Winsford, who has died aged 76
WINSFORD town councillor for the Wharton ward, John White, has died aged 76.
A message distributed to fellow councillors by town council clerk, Alan Warburton, said:-
“It is with deep regret that I have to inform you of the death, on 23rd January, of councillor John White. He was aged 76 years.
“Councillor White was in his second term as a member of Winsford Town Council.
"His first term was between 1992 and 2003 and he served as Town Mayor in 1996/7. More recently, he was elected as a member for the Wharton Ward in 2011.”
