IT has been a week of home truths and comeuppances in soap land, which made for a good deal of satisfying viewing.

Ok, so Becca may have been arrested for a crime she didn't commit, but if a teacher chooses to seduce her pupil, set up home with him, then ditch him after messing with his emotions, she surely deserves more punishment than simply ending up working in a chicken uniform (Hollyoaks). Justin certainly hasn't been a model boyfriend recently, and it was equally as gratifying to see the cocksure teen being dumped.

Basically, they got what they deserved and Jake will end up having the last laugh.

Over in Coronation Street, boozing Bev, who you could be forgiven for thinking was the widow of a man she had been married to for a lifetime and not somebody she had known for five minutes, found out that Fred had failed to mention her in his will.

Never mind, perhaps she can have another go at seducing Charlie.

I'm sure the fact her daughter is pregnant by him wouldn't stop her after she'd had a few gin and tonics!

And in EastEnders, Jake told Ruby exactly what a stupid brat she was - a conversation that is sure to come back to haunt her when she finds out about scheming Sean.

Back to the cobbles, and Frankie has entered into a most hideous love triangle with her estranged husband and stepson.

What a choice for the poor woman. On the one hand she's got smug Danny, who has cheated on her more times than Dev has bred children, and on the other hand there is Jamie, who decided he was in love with her and reacted by moving in his then-girlfriend Violet. Normal behaviour? No.

Frankie needs to find a new man and heed this advice: If you're going to have a fling, at least pick someone with a different surname to your own.

Finally this week, I can now reveal the results of the Soap Dish Best Ever Bad Boy competition - and the winner is Cain Dingle!

Here is a list of the top five as voted for on our website warringtonguardian.co.uk: 1 Cain Dingle (Emmerdale) 2 Charlie Stubbs (Corrie) 3 Jez Quigley (Corrrie) 4 Steve Owen (EastEnders) 5 Grant Mitchell (EastEnders)
