COMEDY crown of the week goes to Audrey for her shameless pursuit of Bill (Coronation Street).
Gail was horrified at her mother's behaviour, but as a serial killer's former wife she really can't have authority to judge relationships.
Audrey attempted to woo Bill with a chicken kiev and a bottle of wine, and he readily gave in. Before we knew it, he had spent the night and was moving in with her!
It would all be very romantic were it not for the fact that Bill is already attached - and you can bet when Maureen gets wind of what is going on, there will be some ugly scenes ahead.
Over in Hollyoaks, there were shocks all round when it was revealed that Will is a stalker watching Zoe on CCTV - though with hindsight he always seemed a little odd.
Let's have more of this storyline and wrap up the ongoing drama with Clare and Max. Don't get me wrong, it's been great to watch, but isn't it about time she was exposed for what she really is so that OB can be proved right and reunited with his best friend?
I'm sure Clare could continue to wreak havoc in the village - perhaps she could hook up with Warren in a Corrie-style Charlie and Tracy match, though, despite the cocaine habit, Warren doesn't seem to be half the villain he first appeared to be when he arrived.
Becca's trial is approaching and suddenly everybody wants to look after her baby if she goes to prison.
And whoever ends up with the tot may find themselves in for a longer haul than they ever imagined if my crystal ball is anything to go by. In fact, it could be for a lifetime Though 2007 may be looking grim for some soap characters, others are in for some nice surprises. Take Home and Away's Dan Baker, for example, who, after grieving for his dead brother Peter, finds out that he is actually still alive!
If he finds the shock hard to handle, I'm sure his wife Leah can help him through - after all, didn't she go through a similar thing with Vinnie?
I like the fact that soaps can bring back the dead - it means there is hope yet for Charlie Stubbs. Hurrah!
