TWO Winsford schools that were planned to be moved or closed have survived.Greenfields Primary School on Whitbys Lane was going to be closed and it was planned for Over St John's Primary School on Delamere Street to be relocated into the empty building following a review by Cheshire County Council's Transforming Learning Communities (TLC).
But both schools and their governors were told this week the plans that the move and closure will now not go ahead.
Chairman of the Winsford Education Partnership Tony Hooton said: "It's very good news for the school and I think that it's one of the best pieces of news that I've heard for the TLC. I think it that the school has a bright future and a secure one and I'm very excited by this news."

Maybe Tony Hooton should still look into moving Over St John's though and that way we won't have all the needless traffic problems on Delamere street in a morning and afternoon.
